Amhara Community in United Kingdom (ACUK) would like to express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of Mr. Zamen Muchie.
We have learned that Zamen recently went to Ethiopia to visit his families. However, informants of the fascist regime in Ethiopia alerted the government killing squad of his arrival from Europe. He was then brutally attacked by government forces in front of his families including his daughter and killed on the spot. The attackers were heard saying that he had come to support Fano.
Zamen was a member of the Amhara Association in France (AAEF) executive committee. Zamen together with his colleagues were extremely committed to stopping the ongoing Amhara genocide in Ethiopia which made him, unfortunately, a direct victim of these crimes. He is a big loss for his families, friends and the Amhara people who he was trying hard to be a voice.
At this difficult time, we stand with his families and the Amhara association in France and request the French government to enquire explanation from the Ethiopian regime to bring perpetrators to justice.
